The results indicated that the fruit extract exhibited significant antimicrobial activity against the tested pathogens, demonstrating a potent antimicrobial activity. The selective activity against specific fungal pathogens suggests that some of the bioactive compounds in the fruit may target specific microbial structures or metabolic pathways. Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry analysis of MP fruit extract identified a variety of bioactive compounds with known therapeutic properties, providing insight into the mechanisms behind their antimicrobial and antioxidant effects. The ethanol extract of MP has been shown to inhibit the growth of Escherichia coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Salmonella typhi, Enterococcus faecalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Shigella flexneri, Staphylococcus aureus, and Shigella sonnei
