The vermiform appendix is a small, tubular, blind-ended hollow outpouching attached to the posteromedial wall of the cecum, typically 1.7 cm below the ileocecal valve.Recent studies have shown significant advantages of laparoscopic appendectomy with respect to the length of hospital stay, postoperative pain and infectious complications (Zhang et al., 2020).Ever since then, the efficiency and superiority of laparoscopic approach compared to the open technique has been the subject of much debate (Zhang et al., 2022).However, the origin of the appendiceal artery is anomalous, and it may arise from the posterior cecal (13%), anterior cecal (4.25%), medial branch of the ileocolic (8.25%), or ileal artery (4.25%) (Nguyen et al., 2022).Pain may or may not be accompanied by any of the following symptoms: Anorexia, Nausea, vomiting, Fever (40% of patients), Diarrhea, Generalize malaise, Urinary frequency or urgency (Sharma et al., 2020).Today, the inflamed appendix can be surgically removed using either an open approach or the laparoscopic appendectomy method first described by Semm in 1983.Typically, appendicitis presents as an initial generalized or periumbilical abdominal pain that localizes to the right lower quadrant.As the appendix becomes more inflamed and the adjacent parietal peritoneum is irritated, the pain becomes more localized to the right lower quadrant.(Mahajan et al., 2020).

The base of the appendix arises from the convergence of the taeniae coli, making this point of convergence a useful surgical landmark. The human appendix is typically 8 to 10 cm long in adults and is considered a vestigial organ (Nguyen et al., 2022).
The appendix is supplied by the appendicular artery, which arises from the ileocolic artery in 35% of patients. However, the origin of the appendiceal artery is anomalous, and it may arise from the posterior cecal (13%), anterior cecal (4.25%), medial branch of the ileocolic (8.25%), or ileal artery (4.25%) (Nguyen et al., 2022).
Acute abdominal pain accounts for 7–10% of all emergency department accesses. Acute appendicitis (AA) is among the most common causes of lower abdominal pain leading patients to attend the emergency department and the most common diagnosis made in young patients admitted to the hospital with an acute abdomen. (Mahajan et al., 2020).
Since appendicitis was first described over a century ago, appendectomy has been the gold standard of treatment (Almström et al., 2023).

Typically, appendicitis presents as an initial generalized or periumbilical abdominal pain that localizes to the right lower quadrant. Initially, the visceral afferent nerve fibers at T8 through T10 are stimulated, leading to vague centralized pain. As the appendix becomes more inflamed and the adjacent parietal peritoneum is irritated, the pain becomes more localized to the right lower quadrant. Pain may or may not be accompanied by any of the following symptoms: Anorexia, Nausea, vomiting, Fever (40% of patients), Diarrhea, Generalize malaise, Urinary frequency or urgency (Sharma et al., 2020).
Although some patients may present with uncommon features.

Ever since then, the efficiency and superiority of laparoscopic approach compared to the open technique has been the subject of much debate (Zhang et al., 2022).
The introduction of laparoscopic surgery has dramatically changed the field of surgery. With improvements in the equipment and increasing clinical experience it is now possible to perform almost any kind of procedure under laparoscopic visualization.
