• Back in July 2022, Contractor placed a PO with GPC to deliver xxMT of steel pipes for all 5 jackets starting from November 2022 until Sept. 2023.
• After placing the order, GPC declared financial issues that prevented them to place PO with plates supplier, in which contractor paid to the supplier directly.
• The delivery of the materials should start from November 2022 until Sept. 2023. Based on that, we planned to start early fabrication of all jackets starting from March 2023 with four-month float. However, the delivery of 1st batch of material got delayed by 4 months which didn’t support to start early fabrication
• Based on this delay, Contractor decided to sub-contract the jacket fabrication to Lamprell which is located in Sharjah. This is mainly due to loss of the assigned Jacket fabrication area in Contractor’s Yard and also to avoid the impact on the subsequent topside fabrication activities at main contractor yard
• Jackets fabrication started in August 2023 with assumption to receive all jacket materials from GPC by October 2023.
