S oneidensis showed signiûcant resistance to high concentrations of Cd (1000 mgL¹) and Pb (700mgL¹). The bioasorption capabilities of S. oneidensis for Cd and Pb were monitored at different ion concentrations and contact times. The results of biosorption experiment showed that S. oneidensis has a good ability to absorb both Cd and Pb in considering to the metals concentrations and times. This can be clarified from an elevated percentage of Pb through absorbed (51.06%) in 2h and the absorption of Cd (63.46%) in concentration 50 mgL¹.
