She heard the ‎words "family emergency" and "health" and realized he ‎was excusing himself. Then there was some noise of chairs ‎being pulled, people moving, and a door opening and then ‎closing. He came back and explained that he had had to ‎interrupt the meeting and reschedule it for another day. ‎She thanked him for having done that and before she had a ‎chance to ask, he interrupted and asked her to hang up so ‎he could be on his way home as soon as possible
