Fish farming is considered one of the most important sectors of fish production, as it comes in first place through its contribution to an estimated production of 1.606 million tons, representing about 78.92% of the total Egyptian fish production estimated at about 2.034 million tons on average during the period (2020-2022).An economic assessment of the current status of the activity was carried out, where several evaluation criteria were used, and it was found that fish farming projects in the Sinai Peninsula are economically efficient according to the economic evaluation criteria, taking into account a number of observations related to increasing the volume of production achieved by the project during the next stages of the project life.The results of the study showed that by estimating the equation of the general temporal trend of fish farming, it turned out that it has taken an increasing and statistically significant general trend, where the annual increase amounted to about 72.54 thousand tons with an annual increase rate of about 6.42% of the average fish production from fish farming amounting to about 1130.3 thousand tons during the period (2005-2022), the study also showed that fish production from fish farms in Egypt includes many fish varieties.
