Natural law is a philosophical and ethical theory that posits the existence of universal moral principles inherent in human nature. These principles are believed to be discoverable through reason and conscience, and they serve as a basis for evaluating human laws and actions.

Key aspects of natural law include:
● Universal Morality: Natural law proponents argue that certain moral principles are universally valid and applicable to all people, regardless of cultural or societal differences.

● Higher Law: Natural law is often seen as a higher law that transcends human-made laws. It provides a standard by which positive laws (laws created by humans) can be judged.

● Inherent Rights: Natural law implies that individuals possess certain inherent rights, such as the right to life, liberty, and property. These rights are not granted by governments but are inherent to human nature.

● Reason and Conscience: Natural law emphasizes the role of reason and conscience in discerning moral truths.Individuals are expected to use their reason to understand and apply these principles in their lives.

While natural law has been influential throughout history, it has also been subject to criticism and debate. Some critics argue that it is too subjective and open to interpretation, while others contend that it lacks a solid foundation and can be used to justify various moral and political positions.

Despite these criticisms, natural law continues to be a significant philosophical and ethical concept, shaping legal systems, human rights discourse, and moral reasoning. It serves as a reminder of the enduring human quest for justice, fairness, and the good life
Mother Nature herself follows many rules and laws which help in the sustainability of this world and the life which flourishes on it in abundance. Every living organism, from the tiny unicellular amoeba to the biggest animal the blue whale follows a set of laws to survive
Let us take the examples of honey bees. They follow the orders of the queen bee and visit hundreds and thousands of flowers to carry the process of pollination which helps in reproduction of these plants. They have to follow a set of rules or laws which will help in this important process. If one of them breaks the law, they are ordered to leave the bee hive. They cannot join another hive nor can they return. It is as good as giving them a life sentence. This life-threatening situation helps to keep the honey bees in check and brings order into the hive. Same can be said for the birds which migrate every winter or summer depending upon their pattern. They have to follow a set of rules or laws which will help them navigate their way. One abuse of these laws can lead to cases extreme to death
