This role involves providing high-quality civil site supervision, ensuring works comply with client guidelines, operational directives, and instructions from the Project Manager, Engineer, and Social Safeguard Officer. Responsibilities include monitoring contractor progress, verifying work against specifications and drawings, inspecting materials, participating in quality control, and assisting in problem resolution. The position requires checking contractor payments, ensuring HSSE and PSEA compliance (per the country's action plan), preparing progress reports, maintaining records, and fulfilling other assigned duties. All activities are performed under the direction of the Project Manager and Civil Engineer.
Provide a high quality of civil site supervision as required by our clients supervision guidelines, to ensure that the implementation of the works in accordance with their operational directives, instruction & guidelines under instructions & directions of the Project Manager, the Engineer & the Social Safeguard Officer.
Monitor & assess the work activities of contractor(s) progress against the plan to complete work within specified timeframe & measure completed work.
Verify that works are consistent with the project technical specifications, drawings, BOQ & inform promptly to our clients Engineer & Project Manager.
Inspect all material delivered on site, at the time of receipt, to ensure compliance with approved materials & specifications.
Participate & assist in the making sure that all quality control activities are implemented on site.
Provides support & guidance to the contractor & assists in resolving site problems, as necessary, in full coordination with the Project Manager & Civil Engineer.
Check, verify the interim payments submitted by the contractor(s) & submit detailed reports to the Project Manager.
Ensure construction standards according to Health, Safety, Social & Environment plans (HSSE).
Ensure PSEA measures are implemented throughout the project implementation, as per the country PSEA action plan.
Assist in the preparation of weekly / monthly / quarterly progress reports on construction activities, according to the agreed timeframe.
Collect necessary documents / information, maintain records, compile periodic reports & any specific reports required by our clients standard procedures.
Perform any other required duties.
