Although advancement in healthcare technology and tools have been made, the patient-providers relationship in Saudi Arabia remains fundamentally based on human interaction, trust, and mutual respect.

These aspects are primary to help in creating trust environment in which patient feels comfortable and empowered to share personal and medical information without fear of judgment or breach of privacy. However, honesty can be hindered by furious factors, including and not limited to cultural belief, concern about privacy, and fear of stigmatization, all of which are particularly pronounced in the healthcare context.
