The study amide to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing a counseling program that utilizes positive psychology techniques to promote positive self-development and reduce anxiety about the future among high school students in Jazan region.The Positive Self Scale developed by Abdel-Khaleq et al. (2003) and Al-Mushaykhi (2009) developed the Future Anxiety Scale was used as a data collection tool The results resulted in a statistically significant difference between the average ranks of the experimental and control groups on the positive self-development scale and the future anxiety scale after applying the counseling program in favor of the experimental group, which indicates that the counseling program is effective in positive self-development and reducing future anxiety among the study sample.

The study amide to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing a counseling program that utilizes positive psychology techniques to promote positive self-development and reduce anxiety about the future among high school students in Jazan region. The study also aimed to measure levels of anxiety about the future before and after the program. The study used a quasi-experimental approach with a sample of 30 students who initially had high anxiety about the future and low self-esteem. The Positive Self Scale developed by Abdel-Khaleq et al. (2003) and Al-Mushaykhi (2009) developed the Future Anxiety Scale was used as a data collection tool The results resulted in a statistically significant difference between the average ranks of the experimental and control groups on the positive self-development scale and the future anxiety scale after applying the counseling program in favor of the experimental group, which indicates that the counseling program is effective in positive self-development and reducing future anxiety among the study sample. There is a statistically significant difference between the average scores of the experimental group members between the post and follow-up application of the counseling program regarding the positive self- scale and the future anxiety scale in favor of the follow-up measurement, which indicates the continued effect of the counseling program in developing the positive self and reducing the level of future anxiety for the experimental group. The study recommended intensifying and the development of guidance programs related to positive self-development.
