The conversation between Louka and sergius

Sergius and Louka have a conversation that shows how different they are. Sergius talks about "higher love," making fun of the idea. He says it's hard to keep up and uses it as an excuse to flirt with Louka. Even though he is engaged to Raina, Sergius asks Louka if she finds him handsome. This shows he is proud and not loyal to Raina.

Louka is smart and doesn't let him control her. She jokes about Sergius, saying he acts like six different people because he behaves differently in every situation. Then, she surprises him by saying Raina is not loyal either and might love someone else. This makes Sergius angry and jealous, but it also forces him to think about his own bad behavior.

Sergius grabs Louka and accuses her of listening to private conversations and betraying Raina. He calls her "common clay," meaning she is low-class and not important. Louka doesn't give up. She says she is better than Raina because she doesn't pretend to be perfect.

In the end, Sergius says sorry for hurting her, but Louka doesn't accept his words. She shows him the bruise on her arm and asks him to kiss it to make it better. Sergius is shocked by her bravery and refuses. Louka walks away with pride, showing she is strong and doesn't let Sergius control her.

This part of the story shows Sergius is not as good as he wants people to think. Louka is smart and strong, even though she is just a servant. Their talk shows how people lie and hide their true selves.
