This study showed that C. rosea strain PHP1701 can be used to control M. incognita under greenhouse conditions.Finally, we recommend the use of C. rosea strain PHP1701 for short-season crops and to reduce M. incognita populations without a host crop,such as on fallow land before planting the next crop in an integrated pest management program.Overall, C. rosea strain PHP1701 is a promising new biocontrol agent.

This study showed that C. rosea strain PHP1701 can be used
to control M. incognita under greenhouse conditions. We report a strong nematicidal property in soil in the presence and
absence of plants. However, the nematicidal effect is concentration dependent and limited to the duration of culture. We
hypothesize that with increasing M. incognita population, the
biology of the fungi cannot control enough nematodes, so
there is a tipping point when the fungi reach their limit. In addition, C. rosea PHP1701 showed an increase in root biomass
in small pot experiments, but no increase in yield was measured in the larger experiment.
Finally, we recommend the use of C. rosea strain PHP1701
