So there's no eating drinking or smoking . During Ram adan, Muslim people spend more time reading the Holy Quran and attendin religious lessons and sermons. It's a time when we try to pray more, be extrapatient with each other, and be lin and generous to people who are less fortunate, than us.
At sunset, we stop fasting, and after prayers, it's called iftar. My mother is avery tradition a person. (She also a little bit bossy, 1) Anyway, she makes sure that iftar in our home is a very traditional meal. We have things like dates, milk, fruit juices and atraditional Libyan soup. The main course is usually a stew with me at or chicken and vegetables, served with rice. Then we have tea and cakes. During Ramadan, we always have lots of pastries in the house Families and friends One thing I really like about Ran adan here in Tripoli is that people are more sociable. in the evenings and neighbours share food

Towards the end of the month, some people can feel quite tired. But people don't get bad-tempered because Rani adan is so important for everyone. Even when people do feel hungry or tired, they are easy-going and remain calm..
