3. Procedure
   3.1. Step Response of the System
   This experiment is intended to ascertain the properties and response of the control system underlying
   the model. For this purpose, a step in control value is applied to the system in the non-regulated mode
   and the system’s response observed. The procedure as following.


4. Make sure the apparatus has a compressor connected to it via a hose and the equipment is ready to
   use. Ask instructor to check.


5. Turn on the demonstration model via its main switch (10).


6. Turn on the compressor and wait until the pressure level in gauge 7b reaches somewhere between 5
   and 6 bar.


7. Make sure the throttle valve (3) is fully open.


8. Fully close the extraction valve (8) by turning it clockwise and then open it less than 1/4th by turning
   the knob 25 degrees in counter clockwise direction.


9. Prepare a stopwatch or open a stopwatch app on your phone for time calculations, then follow these
   steps.

10. Using the software, start data sampling at 2 seconds interval and update the file name. Never delete
    the old files, always start new section. (Refer to Appendix: Automatic Data Logging).


11. Change the manual regulation ratio in software to 1.9V and start recording the time using the timer.


12. Monitor the pressure in tanks by means of the two pressure gauges (2 and 5). After a certain time,
    the pressure assumes a constant value. Stop the timer, take pictures of the gauges for your report,
    and fill the table below.
